In every new case, we set an initial consultation to discuss your matter in detail and, to get started, it helps to send us as much documentation about your matter, any correspondence, text(s) or emails germane to it, etc. We will review and assess all of that information during our initial meeting.
Our initial consultation process is atypical from other firms, as Bill seeks to tailor his services to your unique needs. Rather than a cursory meeting, Bill holds a detailed meeting that lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours which allows him to review all the documents you have/sent and review the facts, assess important legal issues, and investigate options and avenues of recourse/response for you to consider. We charge a flat $500 for that initial consultation (which is a significant discount to Bill’s standard hourly rate), but you wouldn’t owe the firm anything more unless or until you formally hire the firm on to help you (which will be confirmed in writing in our fee agreement).
